Northern Powerhouse UAE Masterclass

Managing Director, Martin Rodnight, was pleased to give the keynote address at the recent Northern Powerhouse UAE Masterclass, held at the Great Victoria Hotel, Bradford. Attendees, many of whom will be visiting the Arab Health trade show in Dubai later this month, were able to listen to advice on doing business in the Middle East, as well as taking part in a session on distributor appointment and management.  Martin was keen to stress the importance of doing the right follow-up work after an exhibition such as Arab Health, saying “There’s little point in attending a show of this kind as a new exporter if you do not have the capability to build on the contacts made there. It’s essential that someone follows up by email, telephone, and of course ideally by field visits, if you are to reap the benefits of such an investment”.

Commenting on the address, Tom Elliot International Manager of Medilink and DIT Life Sciences Regional Sector Specialist said:  “It was great to have Martin present to the group, most of whom are just starting on their export journey in the region. Martin has a huge amount of experience in the Middle East and passes on his knowledge in an easy to understand and  enjoyable manner. We look forward to inviting him back to talk to other groups in the future.”
